Who Are We

Meddygfa Star is a job sharing, one doctor practice which covers the Star and Penmynydd areas of Ynys Mon, North Wales. We provide general medical services under the National General Medical Services contract for an area bordering on the villages of Llanfairpwll, Porthaethwy, Pentraeth, Gaerwen and Llanddaniel. We undertake the teaching of final year Medical Students.

Usually Dr Alofs works the first half of the week ie: all day Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Dr Alofs supports overseas medical work in Palestine. When Dr Alofs is in Palestine the other partner will cover for him. Dr Alofs has a particular interest in Minor Surgery and speaks the following languages: English, Dutch, German, French, Arabic and is a Welsh learner. 

Dr Evans works Wednesday evening, Thursday and all day Friday. Dr Evans consults in Welsh and English and has a special interest in Mental Health and Family Planning.

Both doctors are Generalists.    

Our receptionists and clinical staff speak English and Welsh
